Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I have a 1992 F150 2wd, 300 Inline.

Just got to 70 mph on the interstate today when the check engine light came on. Almost immediately I heard a loud pop from the engine compartment along with steam rolling out from under the hood. All other gauges were in the normal range. Did not see oil in the fluid on the ground.

Any ideas?

Had it not been 14 degrees with the wind blowing I would have looked a little bit more.

Well, I see two things for sure.

1. your radiator hose blew apart.
2. you were inside a Jeep when you took the picture.

Have you checked the oil to make sure it is still nice and brown/gold?

It could simply be that the hose was weak and it was time to go under normal pressure of the cooling system. Remember, if you replace one, replace both and, for good measure, the heater hoses too.
